Established in 1991, the award-winning Kinane Events team has managed more than 185 events during its first 24 years. Over that period, KE has created the foundation for many of Southern California’s legendary events, providing key management decisions during their fastest periods of growth.
Kinane’s seasoned team of professionals managed the inaugural Orange County Race (1992), Inland Empire (1999) and Los Angeles Race for the Cure (1995) events, and initiated many of the original sponsorship programs for these great events.
The OC Race for the Cure registered attendance started at 3,800 in 1992 and grew to 28,000 over the first 10 years. Long before the recent explosion of mega races, OCRFC attracted 28,000 runners and walkers and was recognized, in 2000, as one of the 10 largest race of any kind in the country by Running USA. Kinane Events was one of the founding members of Running USA.
In 2004, Carlsbad-based Kinane Events serviced 65,000+ runners and walkers, with an expanded portfolio to include the: Orange County Race For The Cure (23,0000), Largest Nike Run Hit Wonder in LA (20,000), the inaugural OC Marathon (10,000), the Newport Beach Spirit Run (5,000), the San Diego Liberty 4 Mile (2,800), the Saddleback Half Marathon (3,200), and the Four Seasons Aviara 4 Mile (1,400).
